Maserati Kubang SUV Video
There was a time when we expected everyone from Ferrari to Lamborghini and Bentley to Rolls Royce to cobble together a luxury SUV to tempt buyers. That fad went away for a while, but now its back and we have the first SUV in a generation from a maker of Italian exotica – the Maserati Kubang SUV – and this video of the Kubang on the road. Interestingly, although the Kubang is supposedly the start of this video, it only turns up in the final third, with the first two thirds dedicated to showcasing Maserati’s performance pedigree – past and present.
BMW and Toyota have agreed to work on a sports car, fuel cells, electric-vehicle components and lightweight materials. The agreement underlined BMW's determination to make its new i electric-vehicle subbrand a success. It has built a special showroom for i vehicles in London and will do the same at its company-owned New York City dealership.
Range Rover Sport RS caught on video at Nurburgring
The new Range Rover Sport is only just starting to fin its way on toi the road after its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but Land Rover are already planning a more potent version – the Range Rover Sport RS. The ‘RRSRS’ is Land Rover’s answer to cars like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and comes equipped with the same supercharged V8 as the new XJR, XFR-S and XKR-S, offering around 542bhp, which should give the already very able Range Rover Sport proper supercar performance – something in the region of 4.5 seconds 0-60mph seems likely. Despite the Range Rover Sport RS blatting round the Nurburgring with a fair degree of swirly camouflage, you can already see it’s getting a new front bumper with bigger intakes and a redesign to the back bumper too.
